I am setting up my new house and it has been wired to have the decoder in the living room. I also have a component set of cables to the bedroom and a component set of cables to the theatre room...presuming I also use component straight from the decoder to the tv in the living room, this means I'll need a decoder with 3 component outs...do Sky have such a decoder?
I think I might just go with a decoder that has 1 component out, then split it 3 ways using the jaycar amp previously mentioned...can anyone comment on the quality of the picture after being split 3/4 ways?
Can anyone also confirm which brands/models of decoders support component? Thanks
If it were me and I was wiring my house I would make sure you have RG6 and Ethernet outlets everywhere, that way you could either watch freeview or sky over the DVB-S/T using a splitter. Or stream any TV over the network. I also have seen 2xCAT5e to HDMI converters.. which look pretty sweet.
