Hi all,

I'm hoping this doesn't constitute advertising, as this cause is purely not for profit.

If you'd like to see Al Jazeera English available 24/7 on the Sky platform (as opposed to many inconvenient hours on Triangle/Stratos) I've started a petition group on Facebook. Please join if you wish to support it.

For those who don't know, Al Jazeera English is also available via the Livestation service, however SKY would be a preferable means of distribution for those without good internet access.

Al Jazeera also has available many of it's programmes as HD podcasts available via iTunes.

Thanks for your support.

You do realise it's available Free to Air on Optus C1?

As of a few months Sky had no plans at all. If it's a channel you do enjoy it's not hard to pick it up.

Actually the transmission on Optus C1 is on an AU only beam and you can't get it here in NZ.

of course we all have 3m dishes in our back yards Undecided Tongue out

would be nice to have Al Jazeera more easily available in NZ, they are a nice contrast

I can't understand why there's so much non english stuff on Triangle/Stratos which results in me not watching that channel much. DW is good but Stratos shows non english, where on CTV (analog only unfortunately) all DW shown in english.

When I have seen Al Jazeera news have found it refreshing.

that TP isn't strong enough to lock on my 90cm. I'll double check when I get home though.
