Hi Guys,

Quick question, I'm planning to buy a Logitech Universal Remote, and was wondering if any of you know whether you can get full MySky remote functionality?  That is including, program record, program guide etc?

Thanks

Yes. I have an h1100 and it works perfectly well with MyskyHDi. The database I loaded was for the foxtel iQ2 and set up some favourite channels and it was away.

No problems at all.
I've done a few Harmony One's and a 525 and everything worked great.

And the 785 works flawlessly too, the four coloured button configuration the same as the Sky remote was essential for us.

Yep, I too have the 785, works perfectly. Had to add custom button on the LCD screen for Planner etc., but no problems.

Sorry forgot to say that from memory I added the sky box to the logitech software as a satellite receiver and chose Sky as the manufacturer and just put in MySkyHDi as the model and it worked.

I don't have a MySky box yet, but I wondered whether the remote that comes with it has an "instant advance" function that lets you go forward by 5, 15, 30 or 60 seconds etc. without having to actually fast forward through video? Our Sony DVD recorder has this function and it's very useful. If the MySky remote doesn't have this, do you know of one that works with MySky that does do this?

Also, do you know if I could also record in standard definition to our hard drive Sony DVD recorder, as we do now from a standard Sky box?

Thanks for your help.
Fred

no, it only replicates the functions of the existins remote.

The only additional thing is you can chain multiple commands together.

the only way you could possibly do it is set it to fast forward, put a delay in, then play again.  That would be hit and miss, and not worth it IMO.
