I part-saw an ad on TV about Sky's current friend-get-friend deal but did not manage to catch the vital details. If you have referred a friend recently, who got what as a thank you? Tried calling SKY but they refused to talk to me details as I am not 'the friend'. Tried Googling too but could not find the promo. If you know any details (which I'm sure cannot be a secret), could you please share?

Thanks :-)

Oh thanks! I appreciate your help.

There were a couple of points there though. It says:

"Start Up does not include SKY Sport 1, SKY Sport 2, SKY Sport 3 SKY Sport Highlights, SKY Movies, SKY Movies 2, SKY Movies Greats, TCM, MGM, Rialto Channel, Rugby Channel, The Arts Channel, Playin' TV Games, Mind Games, SKY Digital Music or SKY Box Office. To receive these channels you must subscribe to Start Up."

As far as I know Sky Box Office pay-per-view movies ARE available in the Start Up package.

Also:

"Rates and descriptions for standard domestic Digital installation only and are correct as at 01 June 2008." and "The joining fee & twelve free Pay-Per-View Movies offer is for Internet applications only."

So I'm not sure if these are up-to-date T&Cs. I can only assume the joining fee = installation = $99, unless they have lowered it for this promo. 12 free movies sounds good, but again, is it for this promo or for something that's already been in 2008?

Thanks :-)

Yes they are but they are "pay per view" channels compared to all other channels that are "pay per month". So you can get Sky Box Office, it's charged separately though (thats what they are saying). Friend get Friend would be valid for any promo that the nominated subscriber signs up for, so they get the promo and bonus, the referrer gets the bonus. The mentioned offer is still valid (although there are different ones launched all the time).
