The picture quality is awesome but there is one problem though, you can't actually record two channels while watching a third...

Any comments...

I think the third in the advert refers to a pre-recorded program rather than a third live channel.

Hmmm, that's strange...can record two and watch live here. Does your Sky box have two coaxial cables running into it?

Same here, I often record One and MTV at the same time while watching TV2.

Doesn't the MySky box have 2 internal tuners? This should mean you could record any number of channels from two transponders while watching a recorded program. This explains being able to record/watch TV1, TV2 (on same transponder) and MTV...

I understand mysky hdi has 4 tuners, one is dedicated to download pay per view movies.

Hmmm... from what I've read, it does have 4 tuners. Will need to check how many coax cables are plugged into it though.

I'll have another play with it tonight and hopefully it works as advertised.

Thanks

The MySky HDi has 4 tuners, the Mk1 MySky has 2. You should be able to record 2 and watch 1, the 4th tuner is locked up for OnDemand stuff.

Talk to sky.

I thought it would be a simple decoder change but found that it needed more coax and a change to the LNB. It was raining when the installer arrived so that part was deferred. You probably got the same guy :)

I have found that sometimes I cannot record two channels and watch a third IF there is another show due to start recording immediately at the end of one of the ones currently being recorded i.e. record ch1 due to end at 6PM, record ch2 due to end at 6PM, record ch3 due to start at 3PM, and watching ch4 if all of that makes sense!

Checked the user guide and found that you can record two channels and watch a third prerecorded program. Although there are 4 tuners in the box, only two are currently in use.
