OK, had mysky HDi box installed yesterday. Recorded 2 shows last night, one at 8pm one at 8:30pm. No problems at all, both recorded fine. I don't know if anyone was watching tv at the same time as i was out.

Tonight tried to record 2 things at 6pm and watch one of the recorded programs from last night. Both failed with error code 40 (which someone on here said means reason unknown?), then a program was set to start at 7pm while the kids watched disney channel. of the 2 6pm recordings, one was an hour and one half an hour. so i don't think there would be any trouble with clashes with the minute before/after that is automatically recorded? The 7pm also failed, but with error code 37 - at first it said Part Recorded or something but when I tried to click on it, it changed to failed.

To top it all off we changed from sky to vodafone because of the free mysky HDi offer so I'm not even sure if we have to call sky or vodafone about it??

The box only has one sky feed/cable going into the back, is this normal? there are like 4 sockets there?

All 4 tuners showing up on signal test, strength all full, quality in the green & blue.

Anyone had any similar problems?

1 input to the sockets is normal (well, thats how mine is setup) and I can record 2 + timeshift another.

Can you live pause anything at the moment?

Also, whats the setup like for the device - physically - does it have decent vantialation / airflow around it? (heat could cause problems, but not sure)

Not tried the live pause - at work so got the gf trying it today...

It is in a cabinet, and warm/hot on top but not overly hot... it has 5cm space on top of it, no back on the cabinet and glass doors on the front that are usually at least a bit open (damn kids!!).

Live pause and rewind works when nothing is recording (just been told now!), checking to see what happens when 2 things are recording and trying to pause/rewind another channel

We get that sometimes when recording 2 channels and have another set to record straight after on different 3rd channel.

If any of the 2 programs are delayed or slip in to the next time slot, the box has to record 3 channels at the same time and it wont allow this, hence the failure.

Found a setting for start and end lag times can be reduced, this helps reduce the number of conflicts but risks cutting off a program that?s are running behind schedule.

Yeah thinking about it, it could probably be something to do with that. You'd think they'd be able to sort it out though - or at least make it so that you only miss the start/end of one program, not all the programs effected ending up as failed and not playing at all...

Mind you, I see they were build by Pace in Shipley near where i grew up... I'm not surprised they don't work!!

Some of my recordings have been stopping halfway through which is really weird. Heaps of space free too!

Any ideas?

Mine missed packed to the rafters and rescue 1 this week and something last week as well. Getting pretty annoying!

I don't think there was a Packed to the rafters this week due to masterchef final.

Ok, good one. Thanks for the info. Not sure about rescue1 as i looked at the booking about half an hour before it started and had the 'r' beside it. Will keep an eye on it. Cheers.
