Hi There,

If I set MySky to record a world cup match that goes to extra time will it automatically extend the recording to include the rest od the match?

Cheers

Craig

Unlikely.  You'd just have to set a fairly long post-pad on the recording if that's possible.  Most of these systems don't allow for auto update, and are still only time based systems.

yes it will, if the match runs past the allotted time then if you look at mysky listings, you will see that the time the program finishes has changed, they only do it on live sport and the recording will keep going until the new time finishes.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

SKY have a team who update EPG event end times and they will take care of this, provided that the manual update is made in time (i.e. before the previously scheduled end of event) for the MySKY to amend its own end-of-recording time. You can also schedule a manual recording (e.g. to end an hour after the match) or use the +20 button in the planner.

Ah I stand corrected, good to know that it will update.

Please note that the extention of live play time as mentioned above does not apply to Telstra HomeMedia PVR.

I don't think that will affect anyone this World Cup Laughing

Just slightly off topic, here is a great link to keep up with what's on where (useful info about series linking matches too)
