Our STB was updated this afternoon with the new features. Since then we have been experiencing flashes of pixellation across the screen. I powered it off and on and it seemed better but they still occur.

Signal strength is around 77dBuV and quality around 11.7dB.

It is not raining or blowing (yes, it doesn't blow all the time in Wgtn!).

Finding it hard to see how the update could affect the signal. Anyone else seen this effect?

Ive got the same issue. But only started today. Watching the Warriors at the moment is almost impossiable on SS2. Screen keeps freezing for split seconds all the time. I though it might be an issue with the HD but when I go to SS1 and the All Blacks game picture is fine.

Mine seems to have come right a few days ago. No idea why, though. It was definitely unacceptable when I first posted and for a few days after. Hope yours magically improves as well.

My small silver Pace box is dying, random freezes and looses the EPG about 5 to 10 times a day. At time I get bad pizelation, not the normal kind, a lot worse. Don't know if it is part of the dying process or if it is just how they are compressing it lately. Anyway, perhaps your box is dying, it happens. I'm calling them next week to get it replaced.

Maybe its the LNB, we had a similar problem, sky guy replaced lnb and was fine.

Is the pixilating happening in a regular pattern, eg every 10 seconds you get a slight glitch?

Dont know what your issues are without closer examination, but could it be rain fade, dont forget it can effect either end of the link, ie the downlink to from the clarke belt to your place or the uplink from Mt Wellington or Albany to the Clark belt.

Was there heavy rain at either end at the time, just thought I would ask the question, have not noted any pixilation issues on our MySky.

Its either the LNB going faulty, if its a DUAL LNB then thats more than likely the case... Heatpumps/fluro lights can also make HDI pixellate but best thing to do is call sky and get a tech out, doesn't cost anything....
