Can someone familiar with MySky decoder please let me know if the box allows you to configure it so that you have HDMI output connecting to a TV and also have the audio and sound output on composite audio and video for connection to another display?

Assuming it does, if the picture on the HDMI screen is widescreen format, would the picture on the composite video display as letterbox format if the screen connected to composite ouput was a 4:3 screen?

Hi, the My Sky is very flexible, the HD output on the HDMI port is configured seperately to the composite/component outputs, hence the HDMI output is configured as 16:9 and whatever resolution you like while the analog (composite/component etal) outputs can be configured seperately as 16:9 or letterbox or centrecut as you wish.

Essentially post mpeg decode there are two seperate scaling chains for the HD and SD ouptuts, each can be configured separately.

Thanks Cyril,

As well as being able to configure the output formats independently for HDMI and analog outputs, I assume that both the HDMI and the analogue outputs can be active at the same time too?

Cheers

Thanks again - this forum is far more efficient at getting sensible answers than it would be trying to ask someone at Sky Customer Services!

I do this.

Have HDMI to TV and Digital Audio to receiver in lounge as well as running Composite Video to my TV in the Bedroom.

Have a Harmony Remote in the lounge which manages all those bits and the MySky Remote in the bedroom along with a remote sender. Wife = Happy = me.
