This morning woke to find the MySky with a blue upgrade screen up and saying wait for upto 10minutes, over one hour latter and the numbers in the bottom right corner just toggling around a common pattern still no go, anyone else with this.

Hi Cyril,

Funny you mention this, I think this may also be happening to me.

The upgrade process was taking place this morning before I left for work and also got the 10 minutes message on the TV, but 25 minutes later (when I was about to leave) the box hadn't upgraded yet Undecided I'll check up on it later since there's someone home but hopefully the box isn't fried...

Me too.

Mine actually finished an upgrade that had taken 5.5 hours and the MySky powered down.
I turned it back on and after a a couple of minutes it reset itself and went into the cycling update that sounds like what you're seeing. Still cycling.

Well took the plung and pulled the plug, left off for 30sec, repowered and after a bit of faffing about we are back at a blue update screen with the same numbers cycling in the right hand lower corner 05 02 09 and similar.

Now the sick in the bedroom are complaining as there is no Sky and the FTA box there has gone off too as the MySky was the LNB power source, Ahhhhhhhh.

Any ideas Mike?

Just turned on the TV to check and, thankfully, our MySky HD is all fine. Sorry folks. Hope Sky get the problem sorted soon for you all!

Just spent the most frustrating 15 minutes of my life trying get get some sense out of a Sky Customer Noservice Rep.

He advised pressing and holding the reset button (by the card) until the box resets itself.

After doing that he told me that that wouldn't fix it because their update download process is broken and the techs are looking into it.

I may or may not have to keep resetting my MySky if the upgrade doesn't finish after 10 minutes until it does do a successful upgrade.  He says there is no way to tell if the upgrade has actually worked apart from if the upgrade is successful your box wont keep attempting to upgrade. Yell

Same problem here - stuck on upgrade screen.

Keep trying Sky but looks like it's a widespread problem (engaged tone).



UPDATE: finally got through, they now have a standard recorded message saying "our engineers are looking into it" ... hurry up guys - my wife's at home with no kids TV to help out!
