Hi

We have just been through the process of signing up for sky on the internet. We applied for the commonwealth games package. This included free install and free sport until the end of the commonwealth games.

This worked fine the website told us our first bill would be the cost of the basic package, $51.54. Then we received a confirmation email saying that our first bill would be $69.30. I also noticed that the email said that we had signed up for multi-movies. So i rang the call center and after getting passed around numerous times I determined that yes we are getting free sport but we were signed up for the movies also.

Now I have no idea why this would occur as both my wife and I checked the online form making sure we had signed up for only the basic and sport package. I have since had the movies package removed from my account but someone may need to check there web system to ensure this isn't happening to everyone.

It's not all bad news though, we are getting it installed on the 9th so we should catch the remainder of the US open!

Regards
Matthew

I suspect their web system is manual and someone pushed the wrong buttons. I had similar problems when I signed up and it took days for them to just key the order into their system.
