I have a Panasonic DMR-BW850 blu ray recorder and I'm having difficulty recording channels off sky. The blu ray recorder tunes all the digital channels from free view but not the sky channel. I have a scart connector from the sky decoder to my recorder. Should there be another connection or what?

What do you mean by difficulty...can you or
cant you?
It wont 'tune' sky , it will be connected to AV4

If there's a spare set of output AV connections (red-yellow-white) on the sky decoder you are using, try connecting these to the input set on your BR recorder and see if this works. You will only be able to record programs you are actually watching (because the BR recorder has no inbuilt Sky tuner) but it's a start. If this doesn't work there will be another reason for the problem - e.g. incorrect setting on the Sky decoder, proprietary Scart lead, copy protection of the Sky decoder signal, ... and possibly others too.
