Small comforts I know but we have been displaced by the earthquake and have taken up residence at the inlaws. They currently have one of the old Zinwell Sky boxes, I thought I would be able to bring my salvaged HDi unit and connect the coax and all would be good but alas not, the HDi unit signal light is staying red and the display times out saying atmospheric conditions etc, if i plug back in their old unit all good.

Just wld be great to get this up and running and have little normality back in life.

Any suggestions.

Most likely different LNB so you need to change the settings for that in the MySkyHDi box.

Doesn't MySky use a dual LNB?

Hi, the MySki only needs a standard LNB just like a normal box, but you need to change the LNB settings to 11.300 rather than 10.750 that it currently is.

On the remote, press Active, then 1, then 4 (which will get you to to System Settings), or whatever get yourself into the menu "System Settings" the top option is Picture setup, while there press 0759 then Select and it will take you to the LNB setup option, change the Hi Band LO frequency from 10.75 to 11.30 then save the settings, this should get you going, dont forget to set it back to 10.75 when you return home.
