Hey everyone,
At my girlfriends watching tv on the MySky box and all of a sudden start seeing TV3 breaking up while watching Grand Designs and then turned into complete loss of signal so I flicked the t.v over to antenna and watched it on analogue. At the same time did some research on these forums about sky rain fade and got some information about the signal numbers. This is the following read out from the MySky box for the past 30minutes now: (these are averages)
Tuner 1: 75dBuV 10dB, Tuner 2: <41dBuV 0.0dB, Tuner 3: <41dBuV 0.0dB, Tuner 4: 75dBuV 6.6dB.
Obviously there is something wrong with tuner 2 & 3. They have multiroom and the black digital STB works perfectly and is having no issues at the moment which leads me to believe it's not a dish alignment issue.
They get rain fade regularly even in light rain sometimes. They have also had trouble with the MySky box playing up and not turning on which lead to a replacement box being installed a couple of months ago now.
At my place we just recently had MySky and Multiroom installed, so I called up mum and asked her to give me the read outs for our MySky box it was as follows:
Tuner 1: 78dBuV 13.4dB, Tuner 2: 76dBuV 12.6dB, Tuner 3: 76dBuV 12.4dB, Tuner 4: 69dBuV 10.9dB.
My place is about 2-3 km away from her place.
What should they do about this?
Thanks!
