Just been wondering this - would be interesting to know.

I know TVNZ/Mediaworks channels come from these companies, and CNN/FOX etc are feeds from the US... but what about channels like Vibe,  The Box, UKTV etc.  Are these separate companies that buy the programming and broadcast them on the Sky platform,  or are the channels managed/put together inhouse by Sky?

I think the Country channel is made by another business and sold to Sky, and I seem to remember reading the Documentary channel was too (before it was replaced by BBC Knowledge)

Living and the food one are seperate, as when you complain about the useless handling of aspect ratio on them sky are quick to point out.

Also juice and 63 are seperate too.

UKTV is owned by the BBC. Some are inhouse, others not.
