Hi guys, so i'm totally new to this and not entirely sure I'm in the right forum but if anyone can help I'll be very grateful.

I have just received the above model number AR-1838 to transfer the tv image from one room to another.  We set this up but it is not working.  We are not getting an image or sound on the other tv.  All seems to be connected correctly with the infa red over our sky remote sensor.  We have mysky.
Our second issue is that when we had it plugged in and it didn't work it did manage to interfer with our broadband and had to be turned off for this to work again.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks

I *think* that's the unit I had a couple of years ago (replaced it with a 5.8GHz model).

Three suggestions (try in order):

1. From memory both the transmitter and the receiver have four possible frequencies they can be set to (via switches on the back). Check they are both set to the same frequency, or they won't talk to each other.

2. If (1) didn't solve it, you may have an issue with something interfering with transmission (broadband router, microwave, someones baby monitor etc) - try switching them both to a different channel.

3. The last option is a bit of a long-shot. Since your post is in the SKY forum, I assume you are trying to relay a SKY signal. Mine worked OK with the PACE box I used to have (which put out a bog-standard signal over the second port marked VCR). However, if you have a MySKY (I don't) then I understand that the ports may macrovision on them, which could stuff up transmission. Try them on the video outputs of something (an old VCR tuned to broadcast TV would be fine) that you know is macrovision free. If that's the problem, you need a video stabiliser (Jaycar used to sell them, don't know if they still do).
