Hey,

So I have MySky HDi setup in at my olds house and I flat in another town, im usually at home during the weekend and flat during the week.

The flat has a sky dish but only one cable connected to the dish.

I want to bring over my unit and use it, would I be able to use it with only the one cable and would I run into any other problems??

Hi, only one cable is needed, and thats not likely to change for many years yet, as such LNB input 1 is all thats required. You may find that the LNB on the dish at the flat is an older 11300MHz one, this is not a big issue but you will need to go into the hidden installers menu to change (and back again when returning home).

Finally got around to it lol, So basically the cable RG6 cable was run through the wall downstairs but I live upstairs above where the cable goes the wall, pulled it out (bit tough) had to cut the f connector off but had a screw on one laying around.

I have never installed a f connector onto a rg6 cable, but what I done was cut away the plastic rubber about 5cm then stripped off that white stuff and the little silver bits of metal, screwed on the connector so the sharp long metal bit was about 2cm past the end of the f connector trimmed it down to 1cm and plugged it into my mysky box.

Worked and could look through all my channels, but one slight problem. I uploaded some photos of whats happening. To try and explain it would be like when I change channel it will go all pixelated and sound will cut in and out for a few seconds then play fine, it would then do this randomly every few minutes.

Could this be caused from my average connection of my cable and f connector??
Wrong LNB settings???, they are currently 10.75
Maybe damaged cable from when I was pulling it out of the wall?
Or is there something else that could be causing me a problem??

Please let me know.
