Hi guys
I LOVE MY SKY !!!!
I got the basic package half price for 12 months
2 questions.. Can i buy my own mysky instead of renting and do sky let you pay them off?
I got a half price mysky plus

second question

Some programmes the audio is really good others it sucks.
I think the man only connected it with an HDMI cord
to the tv which the home theartre picks up

would it be better sound if i used a different cord

3 question can you tape any of the stuff off there ??

Hi, just checking your AV reciever detects DD on TV1,2,3 and Sky movies/sports or just 2ch prologic. I assume from your comments that the MySky is HDMI to the AVR then HDMI from their to the TV, if so have you set the MySky to DD via HDMI.

You can not buy an official Sky STB, you can only either pay a small amount per month for as long as you use it or you can pay around $600 once and give the STB back to Sky when you stop using it. You never own the hardware.

They also do not allow you to use your own hardware, although it is not that hard to setup your own and they'll never know unless you tell them and shortly after your service will probably get cut.

You can never have enough Volvos!

I notice this a lot on the Living channel.
Some UK programs really quiet then the local ads blast you out of the room.
