Hey,

I'm trying to install adsl Internet for someone who also has sky tv. However, I don't have three filters at the moment.

I'm guessing the sky decoder requires a filter too? What exactly isthe phoneline for and is it required? I'm thinking of just unplugging the sky until I track down another filter.

Cheers!

yes, it does require a filter.
however, the only thing the phoneline is used for is ordering PPV/Ondemand movies, so unless you do that (and I bet you don't) you can safely leave it unplugged
