Hey geeks :)
Set Up One
MySky connected directly to HDMI & HDCP compliant television (Panasonic TH-P42U30Z) with HDMI Cable.
Digital Audio Out (Television) connected to Home Theater (5.1) Receiver with Optical Cable.
Sky System Settings > Audio
- HDMI Digital Audio Out > Digital
- SPDIF Digital Audio Out > Digital
Sky System Settings > Picture
- HDCP Status > Successful
- HDCP Warnings > All
After speaking with Sky HDCP Warnings changed to None
TV Audio Settings
- HDMI Input > Digital
Problem
No Audio for Channels 1, 2 and 3 through Television or Home Theater
Home Theater System, Television & Sky Volume turned up/un-muted (obviously).
When turning on the Television and Channel is set to either 1, 2 or 3 the H442 Error 'Due to HDCP support not being detected from your TV this program cannot be viewed' is flashed on screen.
Note: The image is in HD.
Channels 4, MTV, Sky Sport (No HD Ticket) etc, play audio through Television and Home Theater.
Set Up Two
MySky connected directly to HDMI & HDCP compliant television (Panasonic TH-P42U30Z) with HDMI Cable.
Mysky SPDIF Digital Audio Out connected to Home Theater Receiver with Optical Cable.
I receive only Left and Right Stereo Sound through Home Theater system on Channels 1, 2 and 3
Call Sky
So the operator and I go through the usual routine, check all the settings, reset the decoder, try different set ups as listed above. Operator then remembers that there apparently have been some issues with Channels 1, 2 and 3 in the last week or so. (Puts me on hold).
Apparently, Channels 1, 2 and 3 have been experiencing issues with Dolby Digital Audio.
This is not Sky's problem its TVNZ. A SKY technician can come out which might cost me.
Solution
Only solution is to revert to analogue cables and wait for TVNZ to resolve. :/ Or just not watch Channels 1, 2 and 3.
Hope this helps anyone else having similar experiences. Id be interested to know if this is happening for anyone with HD Ticket Channels.
If you have any advice which might help would be greatly appreciated also.
