Each time I log on to the sky website and view the TV guide, I try to use 'my favourites' to filter out unsubscribed channels and ones that I will never watch.

But, each time I select my favourites the sky website makes me reselect which channels to show under my favourites. It really defeats the purpose of this feature.

For some reason the sky website does not save 'my favourites' against my account. I'm not using the same computer though, but it should not matter, it is the internet.

Today, is the 4th time I probably have set 'my favourites'.

Mybe it saves cookies to computer for knowing what favourite channels are. If so using different computer would mean favourite channels wouldn't be remembered.

Need to try from same computer and see if works then.

Weird. I just set my favourites. Logged out of my account - reloaded the page and favourites still there. Opened a completely different browser (still signed out) and my favourites still showed.

You are right-- they use cookies to store favourites. I regularly clean out cookies thus my problem.

The modern internet enables your preferences, files, and settings to be stored in the cloud.

Sky are going against the trend and storing local. Maybe it is a security issue and they don't want subscriber favourites to be compromised by hackers?

I agree it would be awfully embarrassing to have pirates figure out you watch the living channel.

Another annoyance is that sky don't display favourite channels as the default view  even when I have gone to the trouble of configuring favourites.  You must click the ridiculously tiny drop down box to choose 'favourites' view.   Isn't that also a curious design choice?

Sky have also blocked lastpass from auto logon too.
