However, I am getting increasingly irritated by the way they are serving up the content. Their promo markets it as uncut and uninterrupted (which is what we want, and what they obviously know we want). I am willing to concede that the shows are uncut (good), but they are most certainly not uninterrupted.
Trying to watch the West wing at the moment. Every episode viewing is interrupted by:
1. A spinning blue advertising banner telling me it is available in HD on MySky; then later
2. An animated blue banner telling me that I can watch it on iSky; then later
3. A banner across the bottom of the screen telling me what's coming up next; and finally
4. The screen shrinks to half-size and a loud promo shouts at me telling me about another show, as the credits start to run.
This is getting increasingly annoying. Last night they outdid themselves. I watched the premiere of Strike Back (which was a good show). Suffered the usual annoyances during it (see 1, 2 and 3 above). It finished with a cliffhanger hostage situation, to make you want to tune in next week and see what happened. Problem is, I don't have to, the promo they threw over the credits as they started to run was for next weeks episode, and showed how the cliffhanger was resolved. Thanks morons, that's a good show ruined!
They already have my money, due to 2+ years of saturation bombing of promos I assume every customer they have already knows about MySky and HD, and I have both an EPG and a Skywatch so I know what's on next. Is there any reason why they feel the need to keep interrupting programs with gratuitous annoyances - they already have my money. Can't they keep the promos for between episodes or, if they can't, at least stop telling porkies about the shows being "uninterrupted"?
Or is it just me who minds this.........
