My wife's noticed that her phone is not always charging.  Had a look at it and the USB port seems loose.   A new search seems to show it as a known problem with Nokia phones.  Anyone else  got this issue with a Nokia??

The phone is about 13 months old  so is still within it's Spark warranty.

Product recall??

As it's (as you say) inside the warranty just take it back to Spark. I'd print out the articles you've found for further evidence when approaching spark to get it fixed.

Slightly off topic: for a while now I've been using magnetic chargers to avoid pulling cable in and out of the socket all the time. Definitely notice the difference regarding this type of issue. More convenient too.

The wife's phone has the same problem, unfortunately as there is a minor crack in the screen, the repair agent won't touch it.

Now looking for a replacement phone.

Tell Spark to replace it, not fix it.

I`m living in Australia at the moment, I bought a Nokia 7 Plus at Harvey Norman in Australia, after about 11 months with the phone it had the dreaded "phone wont charge through the USB socket".

I emailed Nokia Australia , and straight away they told me to send it to a service centre, they even included free courier to there. I`m in rural country Victoria and the service centre is in Sydney. The time it took from sending and getting it back was about 8 days. Very good service.

So maybe go through Nokia Service.

that not your choice though, its the retailers choice of what they do, generally, repair replace then refund.

Any recommendations for the magnetic device?

Oops - only just saw the question directed towards me because of the answer above.

Been using these for a while now and they're great: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32887645165.html

Seem able to charge things quickly so seem to handle a good current!
