A colleague has an LG GW300 phone which used to connect OK to his PC via USB as mass storage but now won’t  i.e. the phone isn’t showing as a drive the way it used to. We have checked the settings and all seems OK and he has tried using a different USB port but no go.

We have also tried googling for this but have not seen anything helpful. Would welcome any suggestions.

Hi, yes there is a fairly full memory card in the phone, this is what I am trying to access via the PC.

does it work when attaching to a different PC? i would start there to determine if the problem is with the phone, or the PC.

We re-booted the phone, re-set it to factory settings, connected to a trusted PC with a brand-new USB cable - and nothing. Also tried it with phone set to 'connect as mass storage' and 'always ask' - still nothing.

All is not lost because the Micro SD card can be taken out of the phone and put into a PC via an adapter to achieve much the desired result, but we are still really keen to find out why the phone won't connect.

Would still appreciate any thoughts.
