Ok Im a new member, but Ive browsed these forums trying to find an answer. All I want to know is, has Wap 2.0 actually been implemented and gone live yet? As in can I go out tomorrow and buy a Nokia 6600 and will the PXT etc on it work?

I plan to get a 6600 shortly, and want to get it as much before the free pxt'ing runs out as I can, but don't want to get it when I can't use half the features.

Yo Juju - the answer is NOPE...not yet. WAP 2.0 aint crankin yet, but wont be very far away by the sounds of things.

I have a 6600 and have found not having pxt yet doesn't really bother me because there is so much to play around with on it....mint phone dude!.

Can understand the need wanting to free pxt tho :P

hello john

yea it is a nice fone and i do have to agree with why they didnt make it to be able to go to that wap version aswell. it is a lovely phone and they should sell it in new zealand. it will be demanded a lot so hopefully they do sell it. and yes it will be able to work on wap 2.0 which is great. australia have the 6600 there and i knew that new zealand had a shipment coming through whether or not they choose to sell it. is there a bluetooth headset for it and how much. have u got msn messenger? and where abouts did u get ur 6600 from.

regards

johnr this is off-topic. But I'd say it is probably something with your provider being very slow on accessing either google.com (AdSense) or Tribal Fusion. Also, check your browser's cache, because if it's full IE starts playing up. Make sure to change the cache to something more realistic, like 15MB instead of the default.

I'm writing this reply on a Windows XP box connected to the internet via Bluetooth LAN Access Point, via cable modem to Paradise.net...

I tried with cable on Paradise, GPRS on Vodafone and sometimes Clear and it loads ok for me. If you want to disucss this, please open another thread.
