Ok Im a new member, but Ive browsed these forums trying to find an answer. All I want to know is, has Wap 2.0 actually been implemented and gone live yet? As in can I go out tomorrow and buy a Nokia 6600 and will the PXT etc on it work?
I plan to get a 6600 shortly, and want to get it as much before the free pxt'ing runs out as I can, but don't want to get it when I can't use half the features.
yea theres heaps to do on the 6600 apart from pxting. btw, does anyone know which mmc cards work? I heard some dont work on the 6600. all I know that works is kingmax
akawash, where would you find a pxt access point? any idea how to restore all data settings to default? i have restored factory settings but it didnt seem to do anything.
seriously what is up with all this late sunday afternoon try pxting then. can someone then tell me what settings to use on it cos the settings ive come closest to getting anywhere with is the nokia 6650 for my nokia 6600.
thanks
but with a usb infrared adaptor im trying to put software e.g ringtone studio on to my nokia 6600 and 7650 how do i go about this. i know how to plug it in to the pc and that of course but then what happens. do i just go install file on my pc when my mobile infrared is activated and it automatically gos through to my phone when its in range of the infrared sensors?
also is the software that gos onto my phone saved as .sis files or what?
any help would be much appreciated,im not as technologically advanced like a lot of u are in here if u couldnt tell :P.

oh and the settings for wap 2.0 will be in early march (apparently) as its been confirmed (apparently) with many people (yep, u guessed it apparently) so all us with the 6600 and 6800 and 6820 and wateva its just about here so stop biting ur nails.
catch u up
so wap 2.0 is coming soon. im just having withdrawls from not using my new mobile for pxting yet thats all. 7650 does the job but u know what its like when u get a new phone. i brought it back from england. cost me equavilent of 1k. you wouldnt happen to know what they r retailing for when they are in the market do u?
yea it is a nice fone and i do have to agree with why they didnt make it to be able to go to that wap version aswell. it is a lovely phone and they should sell it in new zealand. it will be demanded a lot so hopefully they do sell it. and yes it will be able to work on wap 2.0 which is great. australia have the 6600 there and i knew that new zealand had a shipment coming through whether or not they choose to sell it. is there a bluetooth headset for it and how much. have u got msn messenger? and where abouts did u get ur 6600 from.
johnr this is off-topic. But I'd say it is probably something with your provider being very slow on accessing either google.com (AdSense) or Tribal Fusion. Also, check your browser's cache, because if it's full IE starts playing up. Make sure to change the cache to something more realistic, like 15MB instead of the default.
I'm writing this reply on a Windows XP box connected to the internet via Bluetooth LAN Access Point, via cable modem to Paradise.net...
I tried with cable on Paradise, GPRS on Vodafone and sometimes Clear and it loads ok for me. If you want to disucss this, please open another thread.
