Hey Spazz...What do you mean by more than one text within the one message screen? Do you mean to different people ? Why would you send three text on one message screen to one person, why not just one text? Im not being sarcastic I just wanna know so I can tell my friends not to text me like that.
I hate to admit it Alasta, hehe, but you're right.. I've only had my 115c for a few days now and I'm starting to notice that when some people call I'm getting a different ringtone to the one I've assigned! Very weird indeed...
moshpit, say you wanted to send a txt which is 200 characters, many Vodafone phones let you do this, without having to send two individual txts. So, even though the user is charged for two txts, they are able to send one "long" one. My 95c would always show a "club" whenever someone sent a multi-txt to me.
It still frustrates me that I can no longer add words to my dictionary... :@
It's always very difficult to make recommendations like this when you haven't given us a clear idea of what your requirements are, or how you intend to use the handset.
Having said that, I am inclined to agree with cat-mince and steer you towards the 3205. I have a TX115 and, despite the problems discussed above, it's a really nice handset. However, at the end of the day, the 3205 is $100 cheaper so, unless you have your heart set on a clamshell handset, I would suggest that the 3205 is better value.
I have managed to spend a bit of time this afternoon experimenting with this mysterious ringtone problem and I have come up with a theory. When I originally bought my TX115, I had my contacts transferred from my old handset by the Telecom dealer. My theory is that when I receive a call from any contact which was originally loaded on by the Telecom dealer's software, the wrong ringtone sounds. If anyone else calls, then I get the ringtone that I have selected.
So, for those of you who have also experienced this problem, does this sound feasible? If so, then the solution would be to delete all contacts originally loaded by the Telecom dealer and manually re-enter them. This would be a very time consuming exercise, but at least it would be better than no solution at all.
Incidentally, I've decided to give up my 115c in favour of a Nokia 6225 through staff concession. I'm sick of the bugs with txts on Hyundais, when it doesn't beep, or only half-vibrates, and the alert disappears off the sub-LCD.. surely you know what I'm talking about? And yeah, it's just the small things that irritate me. Like not being able to store words in the T9 dictionary.
The above theory is correct for the Hyundai TX95c and therefore I suspect the 115 as well, I recently transfered my contact list from the Hyundai to the Sanyo 7400, I reset the Hyundai, and transfered some of the contacts back. All calls received from anyone in the phonebook resulted in a standrd ring ring ringtone, despite another ringtone being assigned.
The fix was to clear the contact list and re-enter the contacts manual.
No problems occured after that.
Thanks for confirming that. I wanted to get someone else's opinion on this before I go through the painstaking process of re-entering all my contacts, although I guess I should be greatful that I haven't got too many to enter.
If this problem existed on the TX95, then you'd think they would have been aware of it before the release of the TX115. After all, it has been a year since the TX95 was released.
my phone(Hyundai tx 115c) is having problems sending pxt.....wen ever it starts 2 send it stuffs up...is any one else having the same problem as me or is my phone uniquely stuffed up????
