I've just bought a 3205 and it is exactly what I wanted, I also wanted to stick to the Nokia name and besides some early trouble like the faceplate being near impossible to get off (I seriously recommend getting the shop assistant to do it so breakage isn't your fault) and the battery running out in 1 day (which after the second charge now works normally) This phone is good,cheap and durable, Also it has a tonne of customisation abilities.

How has anyone taken a chance to look at Hyundais website http://www.curitel.com/english/

Guess they own / outsource from here.
Anyways, WHY DOES TELECOM limit us soooo soooo much with phones. I wish i had stayed on vodaphone. Oh well i have 3 months left on my contract and back to vodaphone i go (lucky i kept my simcard huh).

:)

It is not Telecom that limits the phone selection. It is a simple case of economics based on volume. Telecom have a relationship with Sprint USA to be able to access more phone models at better pricing. You will see a lot more phones this year.

Telecom do have a shocking selection.

1: they have 3 phones basically the same (the 3 Kyoceras)
2: the Nokia 6585 which IMO is a ripoff for $400
3: the buggy Hyundai TX115c.
4: Nokia 6225 that's no different to the 3205 only 200 bucks more
5: Their only video phone (Sanyo 7400) is 600 bucks!
6: the 3105 is the same price as the 3205 :/

However I guess they are limited because alot of Manufacturers only do GSM (Siemens,Alcatel,Sharp,Sagem)

I know cracy pricing strategy...
I just bought a Tx115c today. Lost my phone other day, and still committed to contract. See how it goes... Couldnt turn it down for $299 tho.

funniest pricing is 3105 - $299 and 3205 - $279 lol

I just want telstra clear to launch a network. GO Free markets!

About the spirit deal, that makes good sense for telecom.

Things i like about telecom:
* Descent serivce
* Good quality network
* $10 txt
* Their wap

Things i dont like
* Mobile phone selection

I think most people feel the same? So it is an issue they should try to rectify right?

it's screwy and confusing! - least with Vodafone you know

Normal phones are under $200 (i.e Alcatel 332)
PXT with no camera is usually between $200 - $250 (SE T230)
Entry Level pxt/Video 300 - 400. (Alcatel 565)
Mid Range 400 - 700 (SE F500i)
Top of the line $700 - $1000 (Sharp Gx30i)
