Looks like a euro plug to me.

I have some power outlet sockets on the back of my Marantz amplifier just like that!

(Nothing to plug into them though).

I had a device that had a power pack with those sort of pins - I managed to buy a socket that matched from a $ shop sort of place in Italy I think it was, for a euro or so.

Then you just need to wire it onto an NZ lead.

That link to the socket on Aliexpress looks like the right one as far as I can see.

Link to world plugs and sockets

I agree making a little lead is probably much better than those wobbly adapter plugs - they always seem a poor fit.

Naturally make sure the power adapter is ok for NZ 230v first.

Just remember, using an adaptor such as that can void your insurance should the charger catch fire and burn your house down.

Ermmmm...can you verify this ?

Not exact link but post from trademe banning sale of electric equipment without nz plug and comment that including an adapter is not compliant. There link to legislation.

I expect you would fall back under some reasonable use/expectation of proper care if used an adapter and fire ensued. Insurance company would argue you were not showing care in using non nz plug.

Ok if on holiday somewhere but at home with time on your side you should source a proper nz power supply.

Once upon a time I needed to use an adapter. I superglued it to the plug. Took care of the wobblyness. (glued the plastic not the pins)

Sooner or later in every thread concerning electrics, someone will say that your insurance is going to be invalidated if your house burns down because of something you do.  Sometimes they go further and say even if it burns down for completely unrelated reasons, your insurance will be invalid.

Strangely, I have never seen a single instance of either a claim that has been denied for this reason, or an example of policy wording that says it might.

The fact is, many of the times that insurance is needed is because people have been forgetful, careless or just dumb.  If your insurance was invalid every time you did something wrong or made a mistake, there would be little point in having it.

It's what I call the Godwin's Law of DIY threads.

Not compliant for sale, and worksafe have issues with them in places that worksafe oversee.

If something cant be used, then there are specific notices about it, like there have been for some travel adapters and other dodgy crap that has been sold thru 2 dollar stores.
