The link on telecom site downloads a file called "harrierpatch", it's an executable but has no file extension, rename it to "harrierpatch.exe"

Thanks for the reply neotech.
As an ex mechanic then changing an engine is reversible, but why would you put a dud engine back in? I understand what you are saying.
I guess I am paranoid but if the update does not sound like it would benefit me at all as I use a bluetooth headset that works superbly and I cant see any other reason for me to do it.
My other concern is mobile insurance. Not sure if it is related but if the update breaks my harrier and telecom have stated that they dont warrant this update I am thinking that my insurance will be void. I dont have the luxury of my harrier being paid for by company so would rather not take the risk just yet. Yes I know I am paranoid.

I know where you're coming from. I don't have the luxury of a company footing the bill either. I backed up everything. Then I backed up everything else. Even the Outlook .pst files. Once all the backups were secure I then proceeded with the update. No drama just followed the screen prompts and did what it said to do. After the update was complete I restored the data etc back to the Harrier and then copied the Outlook backups back to the Outlook directory so the file date/times were newer on the PC than anything on the Harrier. Then do the sync. Don't delete any backups until you know it's all good. Am I paranoid? You bet. Experience says it's a wise move when technology is involved.

The problem with the ANZ is probably on their side. Most banks check what browser you're using, instead of making a page that is compatible with standards.

You have a couple of options, not related to this update. One is to use a tweak utility to change the browser identification sent to the bank and see if it works. There are a few free programs (like RegKing for example) that will change the string sent to servers, indicating this is an Internet Explorer 6. Another option is to use a new browser, like Access Netfront. This is not a free product, but it supports javascript, java, DHTML, CSS, etc.

Netfront doesnt work too well on windows mobile 2003 second edition. I tried it and the url address bar is about 10 times bigger than normal. I googled the problem and this was confirmed by netfront help. Shame because it looks like it would be an appropriate solution. I might try your other suggestions though, thanks

Interesting... I use Netfront all the time on my Harrier and don't have a problem with the location bar. IS it in portrait or landscape?

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Yes I have tried in both portrait and landscape. It states on their website (which is the link you provided) that it doesnt support windows mobile 2003 2nd edition. I found fourm where same question was asked with no answer.

I trialled netfront 3.1.

If yours is working then I might download again.
