Oh god, those Philips Isis phones were terrible. You could store 20 numbers in the phone book, but no names. Fantastic idea that.

iPhone specs are too limited for me, limited GPS (although the next one will have proper guidance by the sounds of it), camera far too limited, screen resolution too limited, no changeable battery, no hardware keys etc etc

Apples infuriating control-freak closed platforms also rankles (no! you can't sideload your music - you must use iTunes etc).

Iphone - not-for-me because:

Touch screen input phones don't suit me, had okta touch and while it was usable, it still wasn't as good as a keypad.

I'm a "folder player" of my own ripped CD's that I listen to. iTunes would get in the way seriously as I cannot just drag a directory of tracks across, simplke simple. same goes for pics.

I often load/dremove/share soundbytes, simple tracks. Super-easy on a Nokia, impossible on an iphone.

iPhones are closed-off, not open, easy, customisable for my needs by removing the pre installed rubbish. (RUU-Kitchen / he11ocarb1de)

Camera - after using N95, it's hard to go back to a basic cameraphone.

But I do like playing with them as long as the iTunes is installed on someone elses PC. They really defined something "different". I just couldn't use one as my daily device.

The list of phones I've used in the last 13 years is vast.. What I've actually owned though is fairly short...

Audiovox (not sure of the model but it was $1 from Ben Rumble)
Nokia 252 - Green.. I felt flash. ;)
Philips model of some type I can't remember
Nokia 3110
Alcatel One Touch - Lime
Alcatel One Touch HF (Oooo handsfree speaker phone) This was the first phone I ever sent a text message from.
Philips Savvy, 2 different colours, Green and Yellow. First phone to offer built in emoticons and things like BioRhythm Calander and Horoscopes.
Nokia 5110
Nokia 3210
Ericsson T10 with text board that clipped on the bottom, was great having QWERTY at the time but a pain in the butt to carry round.

After this every other phone I've had has been owned by the mobile company I've worked for.
