paradoxsm: a sanyo 4920 (PTT) which can receive Photo messaging if someone actually does send me one.

Are you sure these can recieve MMS? As far as I was aware the only MMS capable (and activated) phones released by TNZ so far have cameras built in.

I understand there are some models that could do MMS, that dont have cameras, but these are all disabled.

Yes it works! I was quite surprised. it's quite simple for it to work really. Lightsurf WILL theoretically work on any CDMA wap2.0 phone but yes liooks like t'com has disabled most. I can also download the GCD descriptor images. I cannot send MMS though deep in the firmware the 4920 does have the capability. Ut's ugly but very functional with good keys (important!!!)

Inter netowork MMSing.. the comment about the 4920 was a reply to disenchanted as it's not supposed to be an MMS phone though it works..

Try it someone, there is a comment up the thread about it working 2moro but i'll belive it when I see it. I don't have my 027 today. (we are a Vodafone company and though I love my t'com it's a bad look.)

Remember it comes to all those that wait.

Think of it as not a T versers V thing (ours is better than yours or cheaper) but how do we get interconnection to work - on one hand we do things this way on the other side we do it this way.

Configuring interconnection Gateways is not just two parties installing the same software on two boxes. Both have to talk to each other, theres legal connection (terms and conditions) delevery paths, quality of service, billing the list goes on and on.

NZ cant be the only country in the world that does not do interconnection between telcos so its a matter of waiting and looking at the threads above my money is on something went wrong and they are ironing out the interconnection.

I would say keep trying daily.

The day it works (I beleive very soon) you can get the first post in here and score big time.
