I have been told by two seperate sources, MMS between the network will resume tomorrow. NOTE: I could be wrong on this one. While 3G was confirmed as the 8th through a source (and it did indeed "launch" on the 8th without handsets, This one is unconfirmed. Remember it was last week then this week then it was working then not working blah blah

perhaps one of the carriers has been preoccupied (and rightly so) with other important happenings. (like the launch of a 3G network).

that would take priority in anyones books...

Mostly the new 3G handets, There are lots of new goodies to work out. Also Vodafones limit is (was) 100KB, Telecoms is 250KB, From my own testing, Lightsurf (used to run the online galleries at telecoms end) had some nasty bugs. the thing which interests me is that audio files from Telecom are "QCP" from Vodafone are "AMR" so i'm wondering how these will translate.

Yes Voda have been rather ,,,,ahem,... "Busy" recently.

Couldn't they just send the text message to 027 handsets that they send to non-supporting 021 handsets? (as a temporary solution)

I was horribly wrong about this. :-( It's not working though it takes about 3 hours to get the reply "we are unable to send to telecom at the moment"

I'm hoping madly this does work soon. I'm tired of lugging my 021 around just to send MMS.

The handsets I have are:
027 Harrier (( did but cracked screen ))
021 i-mate pocketpc (older one)

At 220 Grams each they are quite heavy and chunky to carry 2 of them!!!!!!!
My primary phone is Telecom due to cost considerations (better call plan and $10 TXT) and handset.

Telecom audio files are AMR, well the nokias are anyway so that shouldnt prove to much of a problem

I have assumed this boat has sunk and drowned totally. I spent the money on a Voda 3g phone
though I GOT CHARGED FOR ONE I SENT!!!! from voda to Telecom (that didn't work) GRRRR

I have downgraded the harrier after killing it's screen (and repairing/selling on) to a sanyo 4920 (PTT) which can receive Photo messaging if someone actually does send me one.

QCP files are the standard "CDMA" format. NOKIA supports AMR!!! OMG at long last, they must be the last manufacturer to finally adopt it!!)

Vodafone MMS server is 300k (finally:-))
Telecom MMS server is 300k
