So, the HTC Hd2, will that work on the Extended 3g that Vodafone has :)

WCDMA/HSPA (900,1200 Mhz) is what the specs are right?

ping182nz: What app was that? I have heard of a few, is the one you use good?

I am using WinAdmin.. it works great.  I havn't tried any others though so I don't have anything to compare it to unfortunately.

System:
Also in regards to remote dekstop you can do it through a VNC client

You can do actual RDP on the iPhone with Mocha Remote Desktop, among other options.

thanks,

Now I have to wonder... should I get the HTC HD2 or iPhone 3GS,

The HD2 was released in Aussie yesterday... but when will vodafone in NZ have it.... it seems the speed of Vodafone NZ to release new phones to the market is slow... from previouse phones I have looked at...

If you're looking at the HD2 then a parallel importer is the way to go, you can get it for a shade under $1000 right now, and no doubt vodafone will charge like a wounded bull for it...

Expansys is OK, remembering that you need to add GST to the cost of a purchase from them.

Expert Infotech have it at $997NZ, which is a nice price. They're on the Shore in Auckland, and being NZ based is a bonus if you were to need any servicing/warranty issues, and of course you then have the full cover of the Consumer Guarantees Act. Expert Infotech don't have a great reputation for customer service, although I've found them fine when I've dealt with them.

Can I throw the Palm Pre into the mix?

http://www.expansys.co.nz/d.aspx?i=189165

VNC is not quite the same as full remote desktop though, and Vs the HD2 the Palm is quite average on a number of fronts.

When you set up the account you choose how many days of emails it downloads and retains at a time.
