I emailed the CHCH nokia care and they said they can't fix it, it will have to be sent to Australia which sounds rather expensive. Flashing to PR1.2 should overwrite any issues with the leaked beta

This file is for flashing your firmware...it will wipe it clean and install PR1.2

The file is for flashing your Mass Memory...it wipes it clean and starts again.?
Did u use he above files? flash the firwaree first and without rebooting flash the drive. Important step is dont reboot between flashing the firware go straight to flash the drive then as long as you have the -r in the code it should reboot itsefl after you do the last step.
Just a quick request. How useful is the phone for websites like BNZ's internet banking? I'm looking to replace my N95, had a play with the N8 for several hours, and just couldn't handle the touch screen. Parallel have these relatively cheap, I just like the thought of another Nokia, with a keyboard, but the option to use the phone when it's shut.

BNZ's Internet Banking works fine - I just tested it. So does National and Kiwibank. The only sites I've had issues with are those that are entirely based on Flash 10 (The N900 has Flash 9). There aren't many of them around thankfully.
The N900 is definitely nicely priced at the moment. The downside is that support from Nokia is almost non-existent as they're working on the next generation of their internet tablet/phone. Hopefully they'll still push updates out.
