So its on the network but don't expect it to work constantly for a week or two?

What settings are needed to enable it on a 6600?!

Well seen as WAP 2.0 is on the horizon I might go out and get me a 6600 this week.

however. 2 questions.

1) Is it likely Vodafone will be selling the 6600 for $99 or less (I know you can get it cheaper on trademe, but they don't do hire purchase :)

2) If I did buy from a vodafone store (just the phone, not a connection pack), would I get like $50 free credit or something to my prepay account?

I dunno what price they would sell the phone for if they do sell it, but i'm sure it would be nothing short of a thousand dollars to buy out right??.

Does anyone know what advantages WAP 2.0 has over the older version?? does it allow your device to do more or something?.

that has to be a typo, vodafone would never charge that low for a 6600, p800's been out for ages and its they still charge $1600, even the p900 is worth less than that

$99 on a Nokia 6600? Just check the current price on the Nokia 7650 to see it's not possible...

Hi Guys

First post and it may be a little off topic but I think you guys can help me. I am waiting for WAP 2.0 so I can use my new 6820.

Does anyone know the settings for the 6820? There is not a single mention of an IP address, only proxy settings and port numbers. Is this the same as the IP address and if so what is the port number?

Any help would be much appreciated on the eve of the new installation of WAP 2.0 on vodafone, woohoo!!

Hi John, i have been trying a few times tonight...but with no luck as yet.

Just wondering if the settings may differ from the normal ones as the lay out is a little different to my old nokia pxt settings. There is proxy server address & proxy port number feilds etc that were not on last phone? - maybe this necessary to use wap 2.0?.

I wonder if vodafone would post settings on there web site if they were different?.

I will keep trying with normal settings tho.

Thanks for your updates dude - always good to get the latest updates.

Cheerz

would somebody be kind enough to post the setting for PXT for a 6820.
as somebody else mentioned, it has Proxy settings, and primary and secondary ports.
but no place to put in an IP address.

plus wud the Pxt Primary website be the same as the old one, or would it be different for Wap 2.0???

6820 is the upgraded model of the 6800 with the open qwerty keyboard. It is PXT capable and only has WAP 2.0 (isn't backwards compatible). Isn't really out on the NZ market yet but is a great phone.

euro-spec is euro specifications and made in finland, not asia. my 6100 was made in singapore, felt loose and squeaky.
