Call them explain the situation advise you have a police report and they should blacklist the IMEI
Thanks. As per above, my current provider is Vodafone (through work) but that phone has never been on the Vodafone network. It was used on Skinny Direct throughout last year until October and on 2Degrees in November. Since then it has not been actively used.
Vodafone was somewhat helpful but required me to provide a copy of my receipt that showed the IMEI number on it. Even though I do have the IMEI number for the phone, it does not show up on the receipt from Noel Leeming. (I even reached out to Noel Leeming who sent me a brand new, official looking receipt/invoice but still no IMEI as it was not recorded at the time of purchase)
Great News! Someone at Vodafone was a champ and decided that what I had provided was enough to perform the blacklisting of a phone that had not been on their network!
It's great to see some people can still think outside of the scripts they are given!
