No more than three minutes on this topic. Apparently New Zealand will be the first country to have HSPDA in trial, sometime next year. But the promisses of speed are there - up to 10mbps on a wireless connection.

I personally think that G3 is going to be a novelty, like PXT. Do the benefits of seeing someone's face while you talk to them add to productivity and value to someone's work? I don't think so. There are far cheaper ways to have a video conference. I personally think that the primary benefit of a mobile phone is mobile connectivity, and having a video conference 'on the go' doesn't really make sense, cost-wise. I think that once the price comes down, the majority of the users will be the same segment today who are purchasing camera and PXT phones for the novelty.

Anyone want to add to or reject my idea?

I agree, Video phones have been available for landlines for many many years yet nobody has them. In the UK 3 realised very quickly that after spending lots of money promoting it that nobody was willing to pay a premium price for a video call. It does have it's uses however just like PXT (there are other uses other than porn!) but initially having dual cameras had led to very bulky handsets, something that has now changed.
