I get that problem sometimes with my 6600, had it happen on my old 7250 as well. I just thought it was a network problem?.

Anyway - when it has problems connecting i just go into connection manager and end the connection (flashing G). Then it starts again and connects for me.

Hey John, my mate is still surfin that data connection too on empty card lol.

mine is not always the flashing G thing. i sometimes just have the mail / paper clip icon flashing. and it is definitly a recurring problem. it happened yesterday as well.

its either a network problem, or a problem with nokia software

I have a 6820 and am having no problems with sending or receiving pxt messages. Maybe it's a phone fault. I doubt the guys at Vodafone will be sympathetic coz the phone isn't supposed to be on their network.

Maybe try restoring factory settings and reconfiguring it?

advanced settings:
phone ip: automatic
primary name server: 0.0.0.0
secondary name server: 0.0.0.0
proxy server: 172.030.038.003
proxy port: 9201

is what I added in addition ... went for a walk outside just now (work in underground facility so I dont trust the fact that pxt will work here) and still coming up under the outbox

*insert recept name*
