kitretter: Hey Euan - I'm interested in some of your apps, would you be able to let me know where you got the following...

Angry Birds
FM-Boost
MSN Protocol Plugin
Pixelpipe
Simple FMTX desktop widget
Transmittion

Thanks

Angry Birds and Pixelpipe are available fom Ovi, which is open now...

Otherwise the rest I got through the Application Manager...
I do have Dev and Testing enabled though, so some of those apps are in testing/beta stage and do have bugs or are not optimised.

hmmm i thought i had them enabled but i looked and none of them were even listed in my catalogues. did anyone elses n900 not come with them listed? ended up using this website which when you surf with your n900 you can click a link and it'll import the catalogues automatically.

You are likey getting confused with 'Extras'...
That came with the N900 by default and by default was disabled, but all you had to do was untick it to enable it...
Dev and Testing on the other hand, you have to add manually...
If you want to enable either Dev or Testing, follow the instructions I posted in the very first post of this thread.

Just got my N900,  and wow!    after reading around the net, I was expecting something pretty bad but wow, what a great device. Glad I bought it :)

Anyway the baby is charging atm,  where do i download the extra codec pack?

can you create folders, eg like a games folder and stick all the games in it?

The extra codecs pack I think is in either the Dev or Testing repositories...you have to manually add them and enable them in the Applications Manager...instructions to do that is in the first post...

As for creating folders...thats a pain right now, no simple app for it...it can be done but requires hacking and using command line/x terminal if memory serves me right...

These apps dont allow you to move apps or make follders, but they do make new folders and auto move apps into them....not what I like as I want to make my own folders, move apps as I see fit...but some will like it.

Nope.
Initially I used Basic Auth Setup, but now I use oAuth Setup...
They both log you in, but by using oAuth all your tweets register as coming from Witter...
With Basic Auth, your tweets are showen as posted from API

Yeah I managed to get witter working. I'm so noob, was entering the pin number incorrectly :(

anyways, have you managed to get a good case?
I'm looking at getting a CP-321 case for it. Just don't any good suppliers apart from this guy on ebay.

I'm using a belt pouch case but it has a magnet on it that unlocks my phones while I take it out. lol.
