Hello there

On my old Samsung mobile, if I had an unread message there would be an audio alert at some set interval. I don't seem to have anything similar on my new Sony Ericsson v600i, so if I don't hear the message arrive I'm not going to find out about it until I check the phone myself.

Have I missed something or is this just one of those features that is considered unnecessary by some manufacturers?

Oh well. Something to bear in mind for my next mobile purchase I guess. I get annoyed with myself when there's a 30 minute old message waiting for me. My work mobile is used for server alerts so I get doubly annoyed when I miss one of those :)
