Hi, I have an 025 telecom 4 watt phone which I use in rural areas where coverage is limited.
Since the 025 network is ceasing to exist in march next year I was wonderiing is there is a high powered 027 solution I can move to??
Thanks

I'm not sure what power output the Motorola M800 carphones are. Somebody is bound to come up with a quick answer for you.

Hi

There are no boosted TNZ phones on CDMA however with a high Gain Pacific whip 6db or RFI antenna kit the M800 gets pretty close in a vehicle to a Motorola 2900 car phone .

There are also Tellular units for remote situations that you can plug a regular landline phone into, again with a high gain antenna including a Yagi these are suitable replacment,

There is a 3watt booster available on the market but it is'nt telepermitted and Telecom don't recommend but they work very well and personally i think are better in many cases than the old 2900 3 watt bag phones. I have heard their is one booster in @ Telepermitting at the moment so fingers crossed on that one.

If you are in an area with good 025 coverage but little (or none) 027 coverage, then I'd highly recommending contacting customer services and let them know about it. They do collate that feedback for use with determinining where to improve service. If a number of people are in the same situation there's a reasonably chance something will get done about it.
