Hi there,

I have a nokia 6585 phone and I'm having issues downloading and saving ringtones, apps and images when using the Minibrowser app.

I think my phone company here in Latin America have changed the Minibrowser configuration to disable the "saving" features, so they could charge for each app, ringtone or image the user want to download and SAVE on the phone. There is another application installed by them on the phone which connects only and directly to their WAP site, allowing the user to download (and save) ringtones, applications and images, but they charge a lot by each download (plus the normal phone WAP connection feed).

I tried to change the Minibrowser configuration using the *#2769737# code, but this code didn't worked out on the phone (the *#0000# indicates that the phone is a Nokia 6585). I tried the phone company helpdesk also, and the answer was on the "what are you talking about?" style.

The Minibrowser application play midi files and shows the images, but there is no "Option" menu on the left side of the phone screen where it should be, and I can't save the data in my personal folders.

Any insight appreciated

The download option for this handset is set in the PRI,(default setting) these can not be changed by a user only NOkia can do this , for some reason your carrier does not want there customers to download on this phone
