Having seen the work with 4G, my next phone would probably be a 4G at least that it gives me the next decade of technology.
I read that South Korea first debutted 3G to customers in 2001.
We've had 3G for some time now, I've seen what prepaid data packages are available and what they are also available on post paid.
The caps are not that large, with these phones is it feasible to watch TV on Demand outside on the phone itself or Youtube or Skype, the apps are plentiful out there. What I am seeing for myself is that we might have these 3G or even 4G phones and we just read emails and read the news. Or even a tablet in that regard, we have a great 10" screen but the internet is so expensive, I gather even for normal webpages b/c that consumes a lot more data than mobile pages.
Is it just about using it at home or in the hotel? I have friends overseas where their Smartphones are their internet at home too.
Is this just the small population density, 2Degrees might have a larger data cap for the price but 12GB seems to be the largest and it's $99. I don't use that much data, I'm quite happy with 20GB, 200 minutes thrown in but that's might set me back $250 a month.
