I have a Samsung A920 which has a 1.3 Megapixel camera. If I take a picture, remove my memory card, insert it into my PC and load the file that way, I get a relatively high quality 1280 x 960 image. However, when I send the image from the phone to another phone or e-mail address, a much smaller version of the image is sent. Even if when you send to an e-mail address and the recipient clicks on 'download large version' the file is only 600x450.
Also, within the phone if I choose to upload my photos to my online gallery for backup, they too are limited to 600x450.
Is there any way to change this so that that full image size is maintained when it is sent? Seems to me it is pointless having a 1.3 Megapixel camera phone when the only way to get said 1.3 Megapixel images to your friends and family is to transfer image to PC and then e-mail. Might as well use a normal digicam! I was hoping I'd be able to just snap and send from wherever I am, but I don't want people to receive inferior downsized images.
Anyone have any insights?
