Hello all,
Just wondering if I will encounter any issues when I fit a UK prepay SIM into my Galaxy S3 (on XT) when in the UK in August.
I am travelling back to visit family and friends and want to be able to keep in touch without incurring horrendous roaming charges!!
I don't expect any issues but just checking.

If handset is not SIM locked it should work fine

How would I know if it was SIm locked or not?
I purchased from Telecom (Queen Street store) about 12 months ago

Telecom does not lock phones in general, but there were discussions here months back some iphones were locked somehow (could be by accident).

If you want to make sure, buy a 2degrees or vodafone sim and put it into your phone for a test. Just to make sure.

if you really wanna b sure, insert a 2 degrees, or vodafone sim in it.... if its sim locked they simply wont work.... but indeed telecom do not sim lock, i think only skinny does that (can be unlocked for a fee, or by waiting 9 months and unlocking using skinnys online form) thats why phones can be slightly cheaper on skinny....
