I dunno bout you guys but I have a problem with paying $3.50 for a ringtone. But maybe that's just me. I looked on US sites about ways to get free tones/wallpapers for the CDM-8900 (the TX95C in the States) but the ways listed there don't work with my tx95c... any ideas anyone?

Opt1. make your own and host them of a webserver - go to the URL via the wap browser and download them..this works out a little cheaper but rememebr you are paying WAP usage charges.

Opt2. The PC synch tool is meant to have a feature that you can manage the ringtones /wallpapers but its not suported in the current version...the next version supposedly does...the downside is you need to purchase a USB cable ($$$$) so unless you already have one it makes your ringtones expensive

Yeah I can agree that hosting midi format ringtones on your own webspace works fine.

I've uploaded a few and downloaded them to my phone sweet as.
Also, I found a good source for free tones HERE.

I've uploaded a few in WAP-friendly format here: http://www.cent-com.com/rings/index.htm

Happy to upload others if anyone wants them!

Another good place that I have found to get free ringtones is http://www.tagtag.com
If you go to the website using ure PC you can select the song that you want and listen to it before you download it via WAP at the same address. It even tells you how many voices the poly is.
I have downloaded a couple from here and found them pretty good quality, and the database is huge.

I have uploaded several MIDI polyphonic ringtones for download from my website. These can also be downloaded via WAP. Check http://adamj.servebeer.com for more info. All are free and yours for the taking

Should do but I'm not 100% sure. The GTRAN does use the WAP 2 interface so I dont see why not
