Hi,

Looking for a mother's day presie. Something in the $200-$250 price range.

Sorry if this question is a little open ended, but I don't know that much about mobile phones, or rather Telecom mobiles in particular.

However, I can say the features I'm looking for:-
1. Good texting usability and features
2. Loud ringer
3. Ability to accept/transfer and display images from PC (i.e. photos)

Already have a Samsung phone - excellent for what it's used for (sorry I can't remember the model), very small. The main cons are:
- Screen resolution is a little too small (longish texts can be annoying)
- Not loud enough (in public places)

Thanks in advance. Cool

Just looking at the Samsung W531.

Looks good - for what I'm after, although outside the $250 max - according to Telecom's online store.

Anyone had any experience with this phone?

i think the Nokia 6235 is a good phone for the following 1. Good texting usability and features
2. Loud ringer. don't no about number 3 it would be hard to get a phone that transfers and displays pictures form the pc for that price how ever the nokia 6235 is within your price range all the best good luck on the monthers day gift. i got my mums car alarm installed for her she has wanted one for a long time so she's got the gift and doesn't no it

The W531 is a great phone, the only decent non-Nokia I've used.

Also the fact it can be unlocked to use a Vodafone sim card is a bonus

Thanks for the responses.

Found out the Samsung we have currently is the N415 - nice phone for the price.

I must admit, the W531 is looking quite attractive for the extra $50.

Brought the W531 in the end from Harvey Norman.

Keypad is excellent. Nice features for the price.

Thanks.
