I've been looking at buying a Nexus 5 (unlocked) from Ebay. I was just wondering if I can just throw a sim card in and use it in New Zealand?

The US model won't work on 4G here, but 3G will be fine.

Vodafone NZ, provides LTE in 1800MHz, and Nexus 5 supports 1800MHz LTE Spectrum so I don't see why 4G won't work in NZ.

The US model doesn't; it supports bands 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41 (

Vodafone is using band 3.
