Send private message

Hi all, after recently upgrading from a Nokia 3315 to a Nokia 6585 I have been pulling my hair out trying to find a quick way to text.

On the 3315 it was easy. Create message, send to a number - done.

But on the 6585 it takes ages. Even using the shortcut button to go straight to the text menu I still have to add a recipient, find the number, then select edit message etc. Is there a feature that would enable me to hit a shortcut button, and have the text editor come up with the recipient already selected (I generally only text 1 person).

The features in this phone are cool, it just takes sooo long to go through all the menus!

Thanks for any help.

You can simply select the person you want to send the text message to from the phonebook then select send message from the options using the left blue button. This takes you directly to the edit message screen. Once you enter the text message you can also simply press the green button to send the message
