Alright, i haven't got a bluetooth CF card or PDA for use with my imate smartphone2 yet, so i need a interim solution for now...

I like to use my PocketPC 2002's infrared connection to connect to my imate smartphone2 and use GPRS for doing quick decent surfing... how will i achieve?

The setup guides here are all for bluetooth, and i am not sure whether they're okay to be used as guide for infrared setup. So any bits of help is appreciated.

Cheers.

Configure a new connection on your Pocket PC, and select Infrared modem... Use the phone number *99# for GPRS connection, and being a Pocket PC 2002 make sure you uncheck the Use Location dialing feature. Should work fine.

Also, make sure the Smartphone2 is set to Receive Incoming Beam (Start | Settings | Beam).
